Wagon museum in Studénka was established in 1956 with its headquarter in tower section of local chateau. The first exhibition about thle local wagon works history was held in 1957.

The first two halls opened up for visitors in May 1961 and till 1965 the exposition expanded into five halls where the beginnings of rail transportation and wagon production in our area were presented as well as the history of the comapny till 1960 or the development of the individual rail vehicle parts. Currently, the museum has three vestibules and six exhibition halls.

You can learn about the formation and development of our railways, get know about the means of transportation till the end of 19th century, the history of the production in local wagon works from 1900 to 2003, the history of the museum itself and get information about cultural monuments in Studénka and museums in Nový Jičín region.
