Thermosmart started out of personal frust. Founder Hans was looking for an elegant and easy to use thermostat which effortless saves energy. Dissatisfaction with the actual offer he started a new Dutch start-up. ThermoSmart made a fresh start and developed a complete new thermostat concept with as most important features:

- easy to use
- operatable always and everywhere
- help saving without loss of comfort
- indenpendent of energy and boiler suppliers.

Research shows that 75% of Dutch households heat their house when nobody is home. The most important reason for this is a thermostat they don’t understand. Think of programming on a small LCD screen with many complicated buttons. Besides this it appears from research, that more than 50% of the Dutch want to control their thermostat on a distance.
