IN THE BEGINNING, John Laverock, a hairstylist and owner of upscale salons, thought he was up to the challenge of caring for his children’s hair. But with 5 girls with long hair, the tangles started to rule the mornings in their house.

John paired his stylist creativity with his curiosity in design to create the ultimate detangling brush. He combined engineering principles with high-quality components that would remove tangles and knots with ease and no broken hair or discomfort….

THE KNOT DR® was born. “As a stylist, my goal was to create a brush that would save time, while offering a gentle, pain-free detangling experience. At the same time, I wanted to create a brush that my girls would love to use”, says John Laverock.
