Founded in 1998 just outside Sydney, Australia our mission was and still remains to come up with a more comfortable, secure and stylish way of transporting your digital gear. Today, STM makes a variety of laptop bags, packs, fitted tablet and phone cases, all designed to make life a bit more worry free. In early 2016, STM acquired the brand and distribution rights for premium case maker Element Case.

STM's co-founder, Ethan Nyholm struggled to find a bag that both protected his laptop and suited his (read casual) lifestyle. A sea of boring black bags that screamed, "Laptop Here!" was not really helping. The solution of the laptop wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked into a hiking pack resulted in the classic "There's got to be a better way!" So, he teamed up with his then co-worker, now co-founder, Adina Jacobs to design a better laptop bag. The rest, as they say is history.

We get that a lot. With offices in Sydney, San Diego, London, and Kuala Lumpur, chances are no matter what time zone you live in, someone from STM is always working on the next perfect bag, protective case, or enjoying happy hour.
