DESIGNING FOR Fruit

Our initial processes involve either utilizing a dry route for bins filled with a wide variety of fruit and vegetablesor a wet approach for the more delicate varieties such as apples, pears and peaches. Either method can be applied to any produce. These methods include brushing and drying processes which clean andprepare the product for immediate packaging on the grading line.

Waterbinfiller

Submersion filler - A submersion filler for filling bins automatically with pre-sorted fruit. The apples remain in the water during the entire filling process. This guarantees fruit-friendly treatment. The filler is manufactured completely from stainless steel and the filling speed is variable.

Cherry grading

STAS & GP Grader's electronic AirJet™ grader can be substituted as part of our mechanical cherry lines to colour separate and size grade high value cherry sizes for even greater market prices and reduced sorting costs. Each lane of the AirJet™ conveyor moves at speeds of up to 32 units per second allowing high productivity while maintaining grading accuracy. Be assured that the AirJet™ grader is gentle on your fruit so your product retains its high quality and high value. 94% sizing accuracy gives you and your customers confidence in your product and can allow sizing into smaller size increments so each high value grade can command the highest price. 100% accurate colour separation leads to large returns for valuable dark fruit. Several defect types can be identified by the AirJet? grader and more defect modules are in development reducing the number of inspection staff required and therefore lowering your overheads.

Water dumpers

Dumpers - The dumpers are used to empty bins into water without damaging the fruits. There are various possibilities, depending on the type of fruits and required capacity. The dumpers are modular and flexible.

Assortment - Standard apple dumper, is a dumper for floating fruits, such as apples
CAP is a dumper for floating and sinking fruits, such as pears
CAP is a dumper for floating fruits with a (de-)stacking unit
CPAP is a dumper for floating fruits with a (de-)stacking unit and a rotating device in the bin clamp for a higher capacity
