We are supplier of a wide variety of sheet metal and tubular products. Here you will find ready-made standard products as carts, hose reels and walkers. But we can also customize how you want your component or product to work and look.

It all started in 1979 when Karl-Gunnar Karlson founded SMK, Skövde Maskinkonstruktioner AB. It started small with manufacturing of carts for various applications. But since then, a lot has happened. We have grown substantially - in all directions. The number of products and employees has increased, the premises has been extended several times and the machines have become more and more modern...

Even today, after about 30 years in the industry, we still manufacture carts. But now we have expanded and also have a range of reels and handicap accessibility. Thanks to our flexible machinery subcontracted jobs has also become a large and important part for us. We also have a new, modern powder coating plant designed to handle everything from extra large goods to small series of varied products.

We are about 35 people working for the manufacture of components and finished products of the highest quality. When I started as CEO in 2004, the incredible accuracy was one of the first things I noticed and marveled. Anyone working in production does everything with great precision and knowledge. Many have worked with us for over 20 years, while others are newer in the industry. But common to all is that they are part of the SMK-spirit - quality and responsibility in every detail that is made.
