Established in 1984 and located at Riche Terre, north of Port Louis, Seskel Enterprises Ltd. produces salted snoek from a species of fish (Thyrsites atun) commonly known as Snoek in the Southern Hemisphere and Barracouta in Australasia. The plant and its product are approved for export by the European Union and bears the EU no. DVS/F/8. Similar to salted Cod, the salted Snoek has also an inherent peculiar taste for the traditional connoisseur and the newly acquired consumer.

The salted Snoek is produced under a controlled process with strict regulatory standards which are closely monitored by the local and the European Union controlling bodies for both the local and export market A HACCP control system is also implemented in the plant. The salted Snoek is packed in bulk (12.5 kg) and in vacuum-packed lodgements (250-500g). The export market are Reunion, France, United Kingdom & Australia.
