Servier CDMO develops, manufactures and distributes active ingredients and medicinal products to drive therapeutic progress around the world. As both a contract development and manufacturing organization, we serve the entire pharmaceutical supply chain, from from lab to pilot batch through commercial drug product manufacturing.
Servier CDMO is committed to the Servier Transformation project through its Operational Excellence (OPEX) program. This program aims to decrease production costs by 25% at its sites in France, Ireland and Poland by 2018. By 2020, all Servier CDMO pharmaceutical and chemical plants across the global network will be part of this program.
Initially rolled out and tested successfully at our Arklow site in Ireland, the OPEX program has been implemented since September 2016 across the European sites at Gidy (France), Arklow (Ireland) and Warsaw (Poland). By 2020, the focused 4-month implementations will cover all the units of each site, from production to all support functions.
At Gidy and Warsaw, the implementation for the blisters and bottles packaging units increased productivity by 20% for Gidy and 50% for Warsaw. At Arklow, the implementation conducted on the tableting and coating workshop, increased productivity by 40%. These results meet the targets set for each site.
