CAPEX model Customers who want to own the OneView®. SCADA software from the day of hand-over can choose the CAPEX model. Owning the software means that the customer can use the software for free after the termination of the contract. For the CAPEX model the main investment is done upfront, and only the yearly software updates and hotline support are paid as a minor yearly fee.

When choosing the CAPEX model, the customer can either buy the server hardware at SCADA International or buy it from another vendor. If a customer is acquiring the OneView®SCADA software as a centralized SCADA system (Level 2 SCADA), the customer can also choose between a server hosting service from SCADA International and a third party cloud provider.

"Software as a Service" model
Customers for whom ownership of the software is not key can decide for the "Software as a Service" model. The "Software as a Service" model combines a significantly lower upfront investment with a yearly subscription fee which includes all software updates and hotline support.

When deciding for "Software as a Service", the server hardware is by default always part of the initial investment and owned by the customer from the day of hand-over. If a customer is acquiring the OneView®SCADA software as a centralized SCADA system (Level 2 SCADA), the customer can also choose a server hosting service from SCADA International.

The Combined model
Customers who want to own the OneView®SCADA, but also have the cash flow benefit of the "Solution as a Service" model will by signing a contract of minimum 5 years achieve exactly this - we call it the Combined model.

The budgetary prices
The chart below shows the budgetary prices for a customer case where the customer had close to 200 turbines and 400 MW and needed a centralized SCADA solution - the OneView®SCADA Level 2 system. The customer wanted to sign a four year contract including yearly software updates and hotline support. The combined model demands a 5 year contract, but the customer also wanted that option calculated, for comparison reasons.
