SBM est spécialisée depuis 1991 dans la conception, la fabrication et la commercialisation de systèmes pour la cicatrisation osseuse destinés à la chirurgie orthopédique, traumatologique et la neurochirurgie. SBM est une société indépendante fondée par Denis CLEMENT, PhD en Biomatériaux. La société est basée à Lourdes (Hautes-Pyrénées, France).

Première société à introduire le Phosphate Tricalcique, pour la réalisation de greffes de comblement en Europe, SBM est également l’inventeur des premiers implants pour les Ostéotomies Tibiales de Valgisation par addition dès 1996.

Aujourd’hui elle se démarque toujours par son savoir-faire unique dans la fabrication d’implants en matériaux biocomposites comme le Duosorb, permettant de façonner des implants résorbables alliant résistance mécanique, élasticité et ostéoconduction.
