La société MANQUAT Frères, spécialisée en fabrication d'outils, de porte fraises, de machines à affûter et équipée en traitement, a été fondée en 1872 au 35 boulevard Pomerol. C'est en 1906, que Jean MANQUAT et son fils firent construire l'usine du 136 boulevard Pomerol, baptisé actuellement boulevard Stalingrad.

L'entreprise fut reprise par la famille Allard-Latour en 1935.

Quant à la société Allard-Latour elle a démarré lorsque M. Eugène Allard Latour, en juin 1891, a racheté les ateliers d'un constructeur mécanique, Mr GOUX. Ces ateliers se trouvaient 15 rue Montgolfier.

Mr GOUX pour sa part continua la construction de bicyclettes et de machines à coudre.
