Railway Approvals Ltd (Railway Approvals) is a separate legal entity, dedicated to providing certification services to the railway industry.

Our work is governed by UK/European Legislation, standards and Industry Regulations covering railway vehicle and product certification. These include EU Directive 96/48/EC and corresponding UK Regulations on High-Speed Rail Interoperability, Technical Standards for Interoperability (TSI), harmonised European standards (EN) and UK Railway Group Standards (RGS, issued by RSSB), in particular, those associated with the vehicle acceptance process and product approvals.

Our clients include passenger operators (TOC), Rolling Stock Leasing Companies (RoSCo), Freight Operating Companies (ECR, DB Schenker, Freightliner, GBRf, DRS), Private Vehicle Owners (PO), rolling stock manufacturers and Network Rail.
