I has been Swazzling my Punch and Judy Shows to the young and old alike for over 20 years, during these years my shows have taken me the length and breadth of Great Britain performing at Birthday parties, Weddings, Christening’s, Fetes, Fun day’s, and even on BBC television's the 60 minute makeover programme, and that popular tv series Doc Martin. Whilst performing at Port Isaac Cornwall Mr Punch met Caroline Quentin filming for her TV series.
In 1995 I took my Fit-up to St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden to perform for Punch’s birthday celebration the PJF committee assesed my show which resulted in being invited to become a member of the Punch and Judy Fellowship and the privilege of being able to use the title of Professor.
Punch and Judy continues to thrive despite the X box and the Wii probably because of its versatility and the interaction it encourages with it’s audience, I have never done the same show twice and it’s not because I have forgotten the script, it’s usually because an excitable little person in the audience responding to some action or phrase in the show, I then have to adlib and change the routine slightly to accommodate to their response, and it’s this unknown factor that keeps the show exciting and alive with todays audience.
I am member of Leicester Magic Circle where I served as Chairman for 5 years, also a member of Equity I am fully insured to cover any unforseen eventuality.
