To get an idea of what the Portia brand of today is all about, you have to know a little about its past. It all began with a very special person by the name of Konrad Åkesson. Konrad was a man with huge knowledge about fabrics and a great sense for fashion. Current or coming materials and trends, he knew it all. No wonder Portia's products became the talk of the town when he started the company in 1924. His warmth, perceptiveness and high service level were also part of the magic.

But above all, Konrad was our grandfather. We take great pride in keeping his heritage alive. By never settling for anything less than the best, and showing loyalty and a sense of responsibility towards our customers, co workers and suplliers.
