PhotoSynergy Ltd (PSL) Lightpath

Lightpath is a patented fibre illumination system a concept that is based on side-emitting optical fibre creating a continuous and flexible line of light only 5mm diameter and typically 75m in length that carries only light and no electrical power.

In developing Lightpath PSL has focused on the generation of a suite of modular products, a family to facilitate operation in challenging subsea environments around deep saturation diving.

The development includes sealed light sources, sealed battery systems, fibre coupling techniques, and non-penetrating switches for operation to 500m depth. The systems include relief valves for operation within saturation bells.
