Pampeano means 'from the Pampa', an area of Argentina renowned for its vast rolling plains and beautiful estancias.

Polo was introduced to Argentina by the British in the late 19th century and the sport was quickly embraced by the local gauchos - cattle ranchers celebrated for their horsemanship and leatherwork.
