In May, 1938, we were founded as“Fuji Denro Kogyo”near Omokage-bashi in Toshima-ku, Tokyo for the purpose of producing electric furnaces and sulfurous copper rectifiers. As our business shifted to a development of semiconductor devices and a production of power supplies, we changed our company name to “Origin Electric Co., Ltd.” in December, 1952. Since then, we have launched new businesses, based on diverse element technologies of power supply equipment and semiconductor devices, and we are expanding our business to electronics, mechanical and chemical fields. In November, 2015, from the point of views of BCP, we left the site of foundation, and moved our headquarters and main factory to Saitama-shi.

Since our current business has greatly evolved and expanded beyond the sphere of conventional power equipment and semiconductor device manufacturing, we changed the company name to “Origin Co., Ltd.” from April 1st, 2019.

We succeed our spirits at the date of the foundation such that all the research and management shall be stemmed from the “origin” (herein, meaning basics), and we are aiming to create the new values and become a socially beneficial company by changing from a mixed structure to a composite one, further to a fusion structure.
