Nanofibre is invisible and so small and light that one gram of nanofibers would circle the Earth around the equator.

Nanofibers are able to change the properties of a range of materials used or to make materials completely new. Their use is very wide. At present, nanofibers are most used in air filtration, where they effectively remove submicron particles, including viruses and bacteria. High efficiency does not change over time, as with electrically charged filters, and the power consumption needed for filtration is much lower. Membranes for nanofiltration are capable of separating molecules in the size of 0.5 to 10 nm.
