Maklay Industries Private Limited, is a young enterprise started by the 4th generation scions of a reputed century old business group of Kerala named M.K. Mackar Pillay & Co. The group has been majorly involved in the Fragance and Flavour extraction and exports business .

Traditionally M.K Mackar Pillai & Co. has been engaged in Exports of Essential Oils like Lemongrass Oil etc and other Spice & Hill produce from the State of Kerala. The parent company is a leading supplier of Essential Oils to various large international corporations like Glaxo, Roche, Hindustan Lever etc. and Flavour and Fragrance Companies Globally. The group was awarded the top exporter of essential oils in the year 1976 and in 1986 it was recognized by the ministry of commerce for ints steady improvement in quality and zero rejection rate from its overseas buyers. The firm also exports Vinca Rosea leaves, Tapioca chips and Cocoa beans in large quantities to various countries.

Maklay Industries marks the foray of the group into food and beverage business. The Sister concerns of the promoters have been engaged in Rubber Plantation, and other Spices and Hill Produce products from the State of Kerala.
