MAGNETEC was founded in 1984 at the actual headquarter in Langenselbold - about 30 km from Frankfurt/ Main. MAGNETEC is a global leader in development and production of tape wound cores made from soft magnetic alloys. The main applications are mains independent ELCB (earth leakage circuit breakers) and industrial power electronics with a focus on EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).

In the last years, we have realized big investments at our production facilities in Hungary, which have more than 250 employees. We have established an annual production capacity of more than 15 Million pieces - plain cores or wire wound components. Our market share for cores for passive ELCBs is about 30%.
