In 2009, the technical team of LinkWell Opto-Electronics Corporation cooperated with a professor of the Department of Photonics of National Sun Yat-sen Universiy, and developed the first Active Optical Cable (AOC) in Taiwan. With the assistance of Mulan Investment Company, we established our own company on the 2nd of July, 2012, and settled in the Innovation Incubation Center located in the College of Liberal Arts of NSYSU on the 16th . Six months later, we moved into a factory office complex in Cianjhen District after the construction of our new plant was completed.

Within three months after we founded LinkWell, we filed the patent of ?Optical Engine Assembly and Transceiver Using the Same,? and laid the first solid foundation for our new company and our production. This product was fully developed in April 2013, and was tested successfully for mass production in May. From then on, LinkWell has become one of the companies which is able to use the technology of passive alignment to mass produce AOCs with a much lower cost.
