The foundation of LKE Group dates back to 1994 - the year, in which LKE took up its headquarters in Marl, North-Rhine Westphalia. Distribution partnerships in France, the Czech Republic and Hungary underlined the future business direction. The company was expanded by the addition of a second production site in Grossenhain, Saxony, in 2008 which marked a first milestone in company history. It paved the way to develop, produce and globally distribute high-quality transport solutions.

The next intermediate goal on LKE's way to success was realised in 2009 with the foundation of a subsidiary in Poland, LKE Polska Sp. z o.o.. Due to the gradual expansion of the worldwide network to 45 partner companies, LKE Group is now represented on all continents.

Together with LKE Schneider in Freiburg - specialised on transport and handling solutions for the aviation, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry - that joined the group in 2012, the company group now counts approximately 200 employees.
