Pakaoma fabrics have a long history that can be traced back to over 500 years ago.
Engrained into Thai daily life, this fabric had many purposes; from worn as clothing to being used as hammocks, weapon wraps, and children toys. Historically, each region of Thailand has a specific pakaoma weaving technique and colour combination and are naturally hand dyed by artisans from pineapples, flowers, soil and volcanic ash.
Lalalove is committed to promoting the craftsmanship of Thailand's textile industries by making our mission to share cultural values and opportunities with our customers and the weaving artisans behind this historical fabric that we love.
