Jon Lister is a New Zealand born craftsman and designer based near Dresden, Germany. He creates one of a kind and limited edition furniture and sculptural works, as well as private commissions.

His work is driven by curiosity about the characteristics of natural materials. Trained as a chair maker, Jon has made and developed furniture for European museums, galleries, corporations and private clients. He founded his own studio in 2014 for the simple pleasure of working without a brief, exploring the depths of ideas, craftsmanship, the possibilities in the feel of the raw piece in the hand. Jon's works reflect an understanding of the wisdom of the craft, and yet an affinity with the material that leads to objects that challenge traditional frames.
