The Homelands Trust-Fife (SC027281) is an independent, Fife-based charity working to improve the quality of life of individuals affected by disability through the provision of luxury holiday lodges and optional supportive day services.
The Trust was set up in 1998 to carry out the wishes of a Miss Paxton of Lundin Links who bequeathed her estate, ?Homelands?, to charity. The ethos of her request, to establish and maintain a facility to enable individuals affected by a range of disabling conditions (including their family, friends and carers) facilities to enjoy a holiday from normal daily living.
The Homelands estate is set in matured woodlands in the village of Lundin Links with panoramic views overlook the Lundin golf course and Largo Bay to the Lothians. In this welcoming setting, four luxurious lodges has been built with a wide range of equipment to suit various disabilities.
Complementing the lodges, is a drop-in centre, the Paxton Centre (in memory of Miss Paxton). The Paxton Centre is a multi-functional venue with six adaptable rooms catering for meetings, activities and therapies.
