Holland Water BV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Holland Environment Group BV.

From 1985 onwards, Holland Environment Group has developed various solutions for cleaning contaminated soil and ground water using techniques such as electro-reclamation and electro-bioreclamation, where contaminated soil is remediated using electrical ionisation.

Electricity is also effective in purification of water. Holland Watertechnology BV was founded in 2003 to further develop this technology. The Bifipro® system was then developed in our own laboratory. Application of copper and silver ions was shown to lead to elimination of biofilm from pipes and tanks, thereby removing the matrix that the Legionella bacteria require to reproduce and grow. As a result, Legionella was shown to disappear.
