Born from a beekeeping hobby in 2011, I started out labelling jars of honey from my parents kitchen table. Since then the brand has grown to become the second-largest honey brand in the UK. Hilltop has expanded across ranges and retailers across the UK and beyond and is still proudly 100% owned by me and located in my hometown of Newtown, Mid-Wales.
We’ve come a long way since Mum & Dads. At Hilltop we're dedicated to celebrating Honey, the artistry of beekeeping and the provenance of our products and I’m excited to say we’re here to take the Honey category up a notch, offering expertise and a passion for quality that sets us apart.
At Hilltop Honey we celebrate bees... because without them, we wouldn't exist! Literally. They make our honey. Honey bees collect nectar to create honey and store as food because it provides the energy for bees to fly and heating for the colony in the winter months. The good news for us is that honey bees will always make more honey than their hive needs, so we just bottle what's left over.
