“HCI” stands for “Heritage Casting & Ironworks, Ltd.” Our goal from the very beginning was to offer a coordinated line of popular traditional and contemporary lighting and site improvement products, which would stand up under various harsh weather conditions for many years to come.
HCI was founded in 1986. In 1993, we opened our own separate casting plant which has greatly added to our product selection and custom manufacturing capabilities. In 1995, the assembly plant and head of?ce was moved into much larger facilities where we are presently located. In 1996, the product line was split into two separate product lines — Lighting and Site Furniture. In 1997, both product lines were expanded to include many unique and popular designs. In 1998 the company name was changed from Heritage Casting & Ironworks into HCI for easier brand name recognition.
Over the years the company has evolved to a point where it ?nds itself in a unique position. We provide a very wide range of popular lighting and site improvement products used by municipalites and developers: ?xtures, poles, arms, bollards, street signs, benches, litter containers, recycling containers, planters, bike racks, tree guards and tree grates. We are also very skilled at developing new custom designs or matching existing product.
