Habia was founded in 1941 as a manufacturer of components in the polymer of the day - Bakelite. Thanks to the foresight of its founder, Carl Herbert Jacobsson, Habia was one of the first companies in Europe to make use of PTFE, and also one of the first to manufacture PTFE wires and cables. Since those early days, the company has undergone many changes.

Nevertheless, Mr Jacobsson would probably still recognize the company he founded -we are still innovative, entrepreneurial, and work closely with our customers to find the right solutions for their demanding applications.
