Carl Ludwig and Fiona Su met almost 15 years ago. Between them they have over 60 years of experience in the retail fashion industry.
But an experience Carl had while working for a previous employer made it impossible to ignore the environmental ravages they both saw routinely – and increasingly – taking place around the world, all for the sake of affordable fashion.
“I discovered that it took about 2500 LITRES of water to produce ONE tee shirt and I was shocked to the core. They were going through 32 MILLION LITRES of water a week on ONE STYLE alone. This was simply not sustainable. Ever since then, I have made a commitment to learn and find ways to do things better.”
In 2018 Carl and Fiona founded Fibre for Good. A shared passion to deliver quality organic products in the most responsible and sustainable way forms the cornerstone of the company’s philosophy.
It has taken time for them to build a certified and sustainable supply chain and now Carl and Fiona are ready to introduce the first Fibre for Good products to the market, starting with baby wear.
“When we discussed the best place to begin, it made sense to start with babies. Our cotton is so soft and durable and perfect for sensitive skin, and with proper care, it will be still around for any little brothers and sisters to come!”
A range of rompers, tees, towels, bibs, blankets and sleep suits are now available – adult fashion and homeware ranges are being developed and there's even more in the pipeline…
