When Jan does something, he does it well. With his natural talent for electrical engineering, he delved into the world of lighting.

When a friend asked him to help with ideas for swimming pool lighting, a new passion was born: LED swimming pool lighting. It was soon apparent that existing LED products did not meet Jan, exacting standards.

Underwater lights would quickly start leaking. Manufacturers were simply drawing on old, familiar techniques. They were not interested in the new possibilities LED technology had to offer for product design.

Jan, on the other hand, was aware of the opportunities this presented and decided to develop his own superior underwater light. However, he was going to do it his own way, regardless of traditional .tried-and-true" methods. The result was our very first LED underwater light, the EVA Optic A3.
