Eltrex Motion was created from a merger of Eltromat with Motion Solutions Telerex department.

The company Eltromat BV was founded in 1974. In the early years were dedicated in-house operating systems designed for servo applications and produced. Due to the growing demand Eltromat BV relationships with external manufacturers which in large numbers and aggregates ( mass production ) produced, resulting in a drop in prices. Eltromat BV has long-standing relationships with manufacturers from Europe, Israel, America and the Far East, which are active in the field of drive and motion technology.

Due to the growing complexity of the field there was expansion in 1985 with the Department of Engineering, components can be integrated into a total solution. Due to the strong growth in the need for expansion to a larger premises arose. The move took place in 1998.

In 2011 Eltromat BV become part of the 8 - Lakes group. This includes Telerex, Wonderware Benelux and MechaTronix Taiwan. Eltromat BV in March 2012 moved to brand new premises in Breda at the Minervum 7139.

Anno 2014 is Eltromat in collaboration with Motion Solutions division Telerex, continue under a new name: Eltrex Motion.
