Set-up in 1987 by father and son David and John Edwards, Edwards Analytical is an independent consultancy used primarily for bespoke analysis and evaluation of packaging materials, particularly for the pharmaceutical, healthcare and food industries.

We originally started as a bespoke testing laboratory and this remains our core approach when it comes to tailoring our services to match your needs. No project is too big or complicated and with our team of dedicated scientists you should feel confident and at ease when working with us.

Operating from our facility at Aycliffe Business Park in North East England, the heart of pharmaceutical manufacturing in the UK, we now conduct general analysis of materials including pharmaceuticals, plastics, rubbers, metals and glass routinely and since many of the testing techniques we use can be transferred elsewhere, our scope of material analysis is vast and flexible. Edwards Analytical also provides a service for the identification of archaeological materials and historical objects with particular experience in archaeological/historic artefacts made post 1800.
