• Opportunity to associate with colleagues from this country and abroad. CSME provides a much needed means of sharing information on technical matters and other topics though Forum and conferences.
• An opportunity to help formulate education, research, and government policies in keeping with the real needs of Canada. Opportunity to participate in international events, projects, and committees, as official representatives of Canada.
• The CSME Bulletin is sent to members three times a year. It contains Society?s news and articles of a general technical nature as well as historical articles.
• The "Transactions of the CSME", a scholarly journal of articles related to the discipline of Mechanical Engineering is published quarterly.
• Members of the CSME have access to activities and publications of the other Member Societies of the Engineering Institute of Canada and are given the option of attaining Associate Membership in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers or the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, which includes publications and conference registration.
