China Industry & Marine Hardware Co., Ltd. (CIM), a privately owned company, was founded in 1986 by it's German owner Mr. Hans Boie, who has been a resident of Qingdao for 22 years. As a Managing-Director with his German background, he strictly follows the European production-standards for all CIM-products.

- CIM's head office is in Qingdao/China , which includes administration, sales, and bookkeeping.
- CIM's 2 branch-offices are located in Ningbo/China and Hamburg/Germany.
- CIM's ISO 9001 approved factory is located in Cheng Yang, the suburb of Qingdao/China.
- CIM's ISO 9001 approved joint-venture-factory is located in Zhengzhou/China.
- Both factories are equipped with advanced modern technology, which lets CIM become a worldwide well known manufacturer for industry-and marine hardware.
