GKD Technik, based in the UK, was originally founded in 1992 to promote the design of innovative electronic safety systems for construction machinery. In 2010 the company acquired Dolphin Digital Systems a specialist sub-contract electronic design house and became self-sufficient.

The construction industry has been GKD Technik's key market for the past two decades; developing and producing systems such as incline alert, overload warning, height limiting and other motion control products.

Since the acquisition of Dolphin Digital Systems, GKD offer bespoke design of electronics for third parties. These services utilise the expertise in the GKD design team to use new technologies producing hardware and software solutions, load cell and strain gauge technologies, low power and telemetry, allowing our clients to serve their own markets.
