CES is an internationally leading manufacturer of locking systems and electronic access control systems with a history that dates back to 1840. The company is based in Velbert and pioneered the industrial production of locking cylinders in Germany.

When Carl Eduard Schulte took over the firm from his father in 1857, he gave it the name it still bears today - C.Ed.Schulte Zylinderschloßfabrik or CES in short.

Under this name, the company established its national and international reputation as a specialist for reliable security systems. Today, the two subsidiaries CESlocks and CEStronics round off the product portfolio.

CEStronics offers a range of time - and identity - based access control solutions. Using state-of-the-art radio and transponder technology, CEStronics products afford superior flexibility in the design of access authorizations that offer a maximum of security.

CESlocks manufactures high-quality mortise locks for demanding industrial and commercial building applications and offers innovative lock solutions for special requirements.
