Burgess Marine is the UK's largest independent ship repairer; the company is at the forefront of the specialised marine engineering industry, having earned a world-wide reputation as experts in all aspects of structural repairs and renewals, as well as mechanical repairs both above and below the waterline.

In addition to its core activities the business provides bespoke design solutions and additional services to include, but not limited to: warehousing and procurement, diving, technical marine management, new build and modular fabrication, and marine electrical engineering, to include servicing, repairs and installation.

From the Thames Estuary to the Bristol Channel, with workshops and offices in Dover, Portsmouth, Portchester, Southampton, Poole and Avonmouth, the business is ideally located not only to support the UK's largest passenger ports, but also shipping throughout the busy English Channel. The business operates two Syncrolift facilities; one in Portchester, rated to 1000T and one in Cherbourg, Northern France rated to 4500T.

Burgess Marine also provides highly skilled teams capable of carrying out planned refits and emergency ship repair works world-wide, having worked extensively throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Far East, North America, South America and the Caribbean.

We employ over one hundred skilled personnel, approximately twenty marine technical managers and have a trusted subcontractor base of some two hundred and fifty. The company strives to offer a total service solution for all marine engineering challenges; the nature of the business means our teams are available on a planned or emergency basis 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
