Entrepreneur/founder/designer Renate Stormark has 20 years of experience working in and as owner of perfume store Unique Parfymelle in Bergen. She saw a demand for toiletry bags in top quality when she worked there, and the dream about her own brand started to form. Could this become a reality?

As circumstances would have it she met an exciting agent that immediately liked the idea about Bergen Brand. The ball started to roll, and it all became about faith, willingness, and decisiveness. Renate decided to go all out for her dream.

The name Bergen Brand came natural since the owner and origin of the brand is from Bergen, the logo was ''created'' after a dinner out on ''Bryggen'' in Bergen. Her look fell towards something on the ground, and there it was, the inspiration to our logo. It was all a bit magical, the logo is inspired by the design of the manhole covers around Bergen City, which has the design of the famous dock in Bergen ''Bryggen'' which is also on Unescos List of World Heritage.

Toiletry bags and cosmetic bags was designed and set into production, and we were started. The assortment has since been expanded to multiple types of handbags, clutches, lap top bags, wallets, phone bags etc. We are continuously developing new products and accessories.

After a while son Stefan Stormark Taule came into the business to handle marketing and run the social medias since we live in a digital time. He is educated in international marketing and attended Norwegian business school BI and Pace University, New York and thinks it is very exciting helping build a brand from scratch.

All our bags and accessories are produced in Alanya at our own factory co-owned by Bergen Brand and our agent, now factory manager Turan Ozden. Designer and owner herself Renate often travels to oversee the process and check on progress in production. All products are made by hand with high quality leather and we are certain that everything that it delivers is of top quality. We take great pride in our brand and all our products.
