Mag-Shield® trading as BAY6 Solutions, started in 2009 in Canada, with offices in Alberta and Sydney, Australia. Mag-Shield® provides patented magnetic filtration technology to the mining, oil and gas, and heavy construction industries. We design and manufacture solutions to improve hydraulic oil filtration in mobile equipment.

Until now, equipment owners have been forced to accept the extensive cost of recurring hydraulic system breakdowns due to standard filter limitations. One of our early customers was wasting a lot of time and money repairing ongoing hydraulic failures on their fleet of haul trucks. When repeated attempts by the equipment manufacturer, the dealer and the filter supplier could not resolve this problem, Mag-Shield® was contacted and tasked with developing an effective means to stop these cycles of failures. We identified key weaknesses of OEM filtration: OEM filters cannot filter out finer particles, and when confronted with large amounts of iron created during a failure, they plug and force filter by-pass operation.

The company founders drew on many decades of experience to develop Mag-Shield® as an effective product to address the limitations of OEM filters and deal with the most common and damaging contaminant, iron. Equipment owners no longer need to accept hydraulic failures as inevitable.
