La sua presenza su un mercato così complesso ed in continua evoluzione, dura ormai da più di 60 anni, da quando cioè nel 1939 il fondatore, Basi Severo, intraprese un'impegnativa ma esaltante sfida per soddisfare uno dei più importanti desideri di ciascuno di noi: rendere la propria casa accogliente come la più preziosa delle dimore.

La cessione dell'attività al figlio Achille da cui oggi la società prende nome, ora diretta dalla figlia Catina, ha consentito l'espansione fino alle attuali dimensioni.

La tenacia che l'ha sempre contraddistinto e l'amore per questo lavoro, sono doti che, esaltate dalla curiosità nella ricerca in tutto il mondo di manufatti da importare e tessuti da trasformare, hanno permesso alla Basi Achille srl di raggiungere prestigiosi traguardi imprenditoriali in diversi settori.
