My name is Daniel Jones and I am Private Practice Physiotherapist from Melbourne and I am the person who has designed Archies Orthotic Thongs. While working as a Physio, I found myself continually warning my patients who required support to stop wearing typical flat thongs.

Despite my best attempts to advise my patients to wear more supportive footwear, this would almost always be ignored, as let’s face it, thongs are a way of life in the Australian summer!

The realisation soon set in that at the time there were no orthotic thongs on the market that adequately catered for the younger demographic who care about their health and fitness and none that I would personally wear myself! Furthermore, the price point of many of the available options was somewhat greater than what my patients would expect to pay for a typical thong.
