Ali Arc Industries LP, under its current ownership was established over 20 years ago. At that time it manufactured "bullbars", largely for the light commercial market within New Zealand. In those early years, Ali Arc developed its product range for the truck market.

Consistent with Ali Arc's entrepreneurial spirit, Ali Arc in the early 1990's commenced exporting truck bars to Canada. The demand proved to be so great that the decision was made to establish a manufacturing plant in Winnipeg in 1995 and Ali Arc Industries LP was born!

You may be wondering, why base Ali Arc in Winnipeg? Well basically there were two reasons. A significant order for truck bars was received from a Winnipeg based transport company and secondly Winnipeg is geographically midway between the Canadian East and West coasts while only being 100km's from the United States border. Thus from a freight distribution perspective, strategically well placed.

Ali Arc was initially lead by Mr. Brian Tapa, one of the New Zealand partners; again symbolizing another enduring characteristic of Ali Arc and that of "hands on management". Having successfully established Ali Arc in Winnipeg, Brian returned home to New Zealand in 2001, but continues to guide Ali Arc through his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

Ali Arc was initially operated from a small premises on Lagimodiere Boulevard but with increased demand for Ali Arc products, the Company soon out grew these facilities and now is established in a 36,000 sq.ft facility within the Terracon Business Park.
