The word Vacuum stems from the Latin adjective vacuus for vacant and describes an empty physical space. ALD is a worldwide leading supplier of vacuum systems for melting, coating and heat treatment of metals.

In an empty physical space resp. in the controlled process atmosphere of a ALD systems our customers are able to produce especially pure and powerful metal materials and parts. Our customers - they are High Tech companies worldwide: Manufacturer of aerospace- and stationary turbines, semiconductors, solar cells, motor gearboxes or engines, which process high tech metals like special steels, superalloys, reactive and refractory metals or Rare Earths.

Together with 382 employees at the headquarters in Hanau, Germany, a worldwide service network and own subsidiaries in North America, Japan, Russia, Mexico, India, Thailand, Poland, France and China as well as more than 20 representatives all over the world, ALD is a strong partner for this demanding industries.
