RoomRaccoon's Story

The origins of RoomRaccoon are in the hotel industry. Founder Nadja is the owner of Bliss Hotel. A beautiful 4-star hotel with 9 room in the centre of Breda in the Netherlands. Her front desk works with a paper diary and a variety of Excel templates for invoices, double bookings are a very real concern. She draws the conclusion that the front desk is too labour intensive and too many mistakes are made. It is time for a better solution.

Nadja approaches her friend Tymen. He has his own successful company in software development. Tymen comes to the conclusion that there are three main problems; reservation management, control of the Online Travel Agents where bookings come in, and the inability to take bookings through their own website. The available solutions do not address all off the problems and are, above all, far too expensive for an independent hotel. He starts to write software that addresses all of the problems for Bliss Hotel.

The software works brilliantly for Bliss Hotel. Other hotels in the area are curious about the system. It soon becomes clear that there is a lot of demand for the solution and RoomRaccoon is born. Fast forward a couple of years and RoomRaccoon is now one of the fastest growing booking systems around, operating in a number of different countries. Despite rapid growth, our objectives have never changed. We want to make the lives of hoteliers as easy as possible and give guests an amazing experience.
