Kampuni is a distributor of high-quality products which makes an effort for humanity since our own distributors almost exclusively help exposed and vulnerable humans in Kenya. Partly, by providing them with work, partly by structuring healthcare and education for their children. Furthermore, all of these people receive help with managing money and opening bank accounts, which aren´t obvious in Kenya.

In Kenya, many of the citizens can neither read nor write and often been prone to different types of violence, and many of the ones we try to help are single mothers. Our engagement also revolves around the people with some sort of difference or disability since they often live an unsafe, and poor life with no social safety net or access to healthcare.

Kampunis products are the highest of quality as a result of genuine and authentic craftsmanship and meet the high demands of the western market. All material emanates from Kenya, where multiple is recycled such as the brass, used for buckles and zippers, which is extracted from metal scrap. Also, the bags lining cloth are often manufactured through collected men’s shirts.

The idea for our company Kampuni – ’Kampuni’ means ‘company’ in Swahili – and the idea to start importing products from Kenya were born already in 2011-2012 when we visit the country to adopt our first children. When we returned a few years later to Kenya, to adopt our second child, the idea had matured. Mainly because of the outstanding craftsmanship, but also a meticulous examination of the market in Sweden and Scandinavia.
